There is a new Florio interview on NBC Sports and the headline "Do Eagles regret Wentz contract".... The NFL media giveth, the NFL media take it away.... He better light the lamp against his next couple teams, regardless of roster, or he is gonna have a long off season with ear plugs in.

Even though they don't have the receivers for it, I would like to see them throw the ball down field more. Let the receivers go after it and catch the ball. Every throw seems like it's right at the scrimmage or a 5 yd pass. It's not tough to defend that kind of offense when you never throw down field.
Also, does Doug Pederson need to let someone else call the plays or at least draw up the plays?

The Eagles have been on a downward spiral ever since Frank Reich left . Conversely the Colts have been on an upward trajectory since they hired him . Draw your own conclusion

The problem with that is that the only receiver they have with any kind of speed, can't track a ball to save his life.

I dont like the play where the ball is thrown 10ft over the receivers head. they ran it twice last night with no success.

This is one of the main differences I've noticed since they won a Super Bowl a few years ago.

Carson can be better no doubt but this says a lot about the receivers routes

The Seahawks ran that play once too, so it seems to be utilized league wide...

Let's face it, that's half the problem...there have been touch issues as of late with short passes, let alone deep balls.
But with that said, I would still like to see deep balls just to keep the defense honest, and who knows maybe someone might snag a 40-50 yard throw once in a while...but gotta try it to achieve it.

It’s very interesting to watch former NFL QBs talk about routes and how they are supposed to look and what the QB is throwing and why rather than (oh the receiver didn’t catch that pass or it wasn’t close to the receiver so therefore the QBs throw must have been off. Thanks for posting!
