I think you overstated your argument and under estimate what the Pats have done and what more teams are starting to do.
Not saying they cant, that is the model to follow, however how many other teams have been able to follow that framework. The problem, historically, is once you have to start paying your QB big money the other positions start to get squeezed. Once that happens, instead of signing Alshon Jeffrey or Torrie Smith, you need former lacrosse players to step up.

I think there were the 4 players mentioned, along with coaches Rosburg and Earhardt (with Parcells and the Giants).

Philly is the 3rd team ever to win a Super Bowl as an underdog in every playoff game.

They're the only 1 seed to do it.

Only if you are talking about over paid QBs managers think are franchise QBs. When you have a true franchise QB, like Peyton Manning, John Elway, Tom Brady, and the like, that isn’t necessarily true. I don’t agree with you, you are generalizing and making assumptions that there is a paucity of facts to support.

I'd agree with that. He made huge plays all through the playoffs. I think his remaining time in Philly will be short, but I do hope he ends up someplace better than Cleveland.

Even if he doesn't start another game in Philly, those 6 games made him millions and he will never need to buy his own beer in that city for the rest of his life.
