As an aside, who else is just friggin' pumped for this season for no other reason than the fact that we're not basically guaranteed to win every game by 24+ and if we win a game by 10 we're shocked? The uncertainty is a pretty new thing for us considering the last few years and the fact that we might actually lose a game for the first time since October 13th of 2012 means we need to tailgate harder than ever before. The fact that the game isn't basically just a formality is what makes this such an intriguing season, and that starts with Iowa State.

Folks are going to say "But we upset Kansas State!" Am I the only one who, while stoked, did not see that as an upset? That was a good team beating a good team. Iowa State is the diametric opposite of a world-beater, but in this case I'm stoked for a team full of unknowns to go out and make a splash early. As such, I will be Turf-gating as if SDBison himself is forcing jagbombs down my gullet, protests or not.

@DJ....I am so pumped for football season. I live for saturdays and SUndays. Bison and Vikes. Fall is my favorite season. Love the weather, sports. So pumped.

Agreed. He is completely taking for granted how much having a turf burger while watching a bison football game is good for the soul.

Not a new experience by any means, but had some stuff come up that's going to nix the ISU trip I've been planning since February. Good stuff, but if it negatively impacts my football watching then it must categorically be treated as unfortunate.
