There's between 15,000 and 20,000 NDSU alumni in the Minny/St. Paul metro area. I read that on BV so it has to be true.

Let's see how many tickets are sold for Minneapolis next year. That should be a good indicator if the NDSU fanbase is still at this level.

It’s Eastern Washington, so it will draw ok, but not like it would if it were a Minnesota or Iowa opponent. Could be worse, like Drake or Butler.

While technically not “metro” you could also include Wright and Stearns. People commute to MSP daily from these counties in the thousands. Also don’t sleep on those western WI counties bordering MN from Taylor’s Falls down to Hastings. Lots of folks choose to live in that beautiful river valley and it’s not a long commute to St Paul

more. 35,000-40,000 has to be the expected goal.
but i'm worried about it being labor day weekend on a saturday with many people choosing the lakes or being at the lakes.

I would guess 20K - 30K at the game. We have a room booked at our favorite hotel downtown a short walk from the stadium.
