NDSU got some good JUCOs in Somerville and Ware for D line back in 2006 and 2007 I believe.

I wouldnt push it that far. Yes it is best to have 4 and 5 year players in your system but with Cain's background being from Cali, Klieman's willingness to bring the best athletes with good character from any place available and the a majority of the staff not personally affected with sour grapes from previous failures I think a JC from anywhere in the country is always a possibility.

Don't forget about Chad Willson, John Richardson, Andrew Cooper and Josh Gatlin.

We have had a lot of JUCO contributors.

Agreed, it sure gets annoying when the same select few ruin threads with talk of the same thing over and over in every thread

Has anyone asked those in the know if there are any additions (transfers? jucos?) coming to the roster? Perhaps there will be a new name or two, perhaps even transfers. I just checked gobison and saw it had not been updated yet for fall.
Looking to the future, the current roster at gobison still includes Eji Ejiya, whom fbmind posted a link on in his thread, showing Ejiya signed with Wahpeton (NDSCS) for this fall.
Another interesting school is Iowa Western Community College.
Two names bisonation.info had for 2014 recruiting signed with them (and there may be others I missed)
    - Anthony Anderson - RB - Eden Prairie
    - Tyus DeBoer - OL - Marshall (MN)
Minnesota signed LB Cody Poock from Iowa Western, whom the Bison also recruited.

It also will be interesting to see how RB Jeff Jones (Washburn) fares with Minnesota. Does anyone know if he will be in school as a Gopher? Or will he have to go the JC or prep school route?

Edit: here is a recent gopherdaily article on Jones - sounds like he is not going to Iowa Western

Curious to see the roster too. With social media it's rare for anyone to join the team without the public hearing about it these days. A few slip by though. Anxious to see.

I'm more curious to see the height and weight of some of the newbies we signed the last few years. It's a good indicator of whether or not they will be ready to compete
