This is referring to Shadeed Crockett who was a walk-on WR for Montana State. Not sure if he is thinking about joining the team - and, obviously, he won't be playing football this season because of transfer rules. He didn't play much for Montana State last year (1 reception.)

Unconfirmed but according to Bobcat Nation, he didn't get a Spring scholarship and is transferring for lower tuition.Originally Posted by tony

Without a scholarship offer or being listed as a preferred walk-on, how would one be able to prove he was recruited??

I think that is the definition. Wasnt there that mouthy MN transfer trying to go down south and because he was a full fledged walk on (not at fall camp) he could play right away. Article in the other Shadeed thread (seriously Im sorry for posting twice, but can we merge them??) article seemed to say he was a PWO. I am not an expect, so if someone knows the exact rule, would love to read it
