Another good interview with Florence Alabama sports editor last week too. Talks Troy moving up and Northern Alabama moving up. D1 exposure and historical stuff. Great stuff

Hallstrom really has a knack for talking about what people are thinking

Very interesting, thanks for posting. I thought it was interesting at the end how he stated that believe it or not a lot of Appy fans are going for NDSU to pull off the 4-peat because they know what an amazing accomplishment it would be.

Thanks for posting. I didn't see Jackson make a great case for going to FBS over FCS.

For App St. the case was there otherwise they wouldn't have done it. They see this as an opportunity for much more revenue relative to what they were dealing with in the FCS world. Sure there are more expenses (scholorships, etc) but he also mentioned that much of those have been covered already. He did sound very positive about the opportunities (for the entire campus) with the move. It's about more than just football.

The one thing that kind of jumped out was the jump in number of undergrads. I could be wrong but I'm not sure the dorm situation at NDSU would be real accomodating to a significant jump in students, and I know the Fargodome wouldn't. Would have never thought of the larger cafeteria thing, although I don't think that part is an issue at NDSU. There are probably quite a few other things I would never think about when making the jump.

The only thing behind the move 'up' to the sun bletch by appy and pigs ass, ga is the worst case of penis envy ever diagnosed vis a vis east carolina and uga. Those of us who had to listen to that ungrateful bunch of whining vinegar based vaginal cleansing products year after year are so very GLAD to see them go.

I detect a faint aura of dislike towards these fine institutions of, well, whatever they do. Please continue.
