Our basketball teams need to go get some phi slamma jamma players and let them play exciting tempo style or to heck with selling season tickets. How does this portal thing work? Is there cash, booze, pizza and smokes for free plus a guaranteed 25 minute court time per game with no heat from the coach? Lord knows they must zoom all their classes as I never see an athlete on the sidewalks heading to lunch or to any classroom buildings and I have worked there over 2 years now. I saw some athletes come out of the airdome heading to Fargodome in late December when I was on the way to a bball game and they ran across some fairly heavy traffic after dark in what was a close call.

Glancing over the roster. Brooke Costley is no longer on coaching staff.

Why not get some bench players from UConn or Tennessee instead… free room and board! Maybe they can play, would be good PR!

Because a bench player at UCONN will have at least 2 if not 3 trips to the final four in their career...

Or just grab a few transferring out of the gopher program. Their top scorer out of Stillwater is in the portal. Coach Lindsay Whalen is bringing in four top kids from Minnesota but the program is in a downward flush and despite a one year contract extension, she might not be around by the time their eligibility is up.
