Two season ending injuries for the Jacks before the season even starts. Could this make the Summit race tighter with just 10 healthy players on the roster?

It definitely will, it's not just any two players, it's two of their best. Very unfortunate for them but this may bring SDSU back to the pack a bit and leave it wide open for one of the other 3 Dakota schools to step up and be the lead dog. Hoping Jory can finally put it together this year, on paper this should be our most talented team we've had in a very very long time.

The first team is only guards - no post players even mentioned... DUMB! Let's just select 5 PGs for the team.

Anyone have thoughts on the starting lineup? Is there talk that any of the new freshman will play? I really think that Avery Koenen could be a great player. Great all-around athlete in many sports. I am also guessing that Miriley Simon will get some playing time? Anyone have some incites?

Spoke with Coach for a couple minutes last night at the meet and greet and asked him about roles and subbing situations. He says the gals will be more fun this year than last year (i thought the team was much improved and fun over the year before) and that yes the incoming gals will play a lot. Sounds like 1. Heaven, 2 Schulte, 3 Evans, 4. Draper and 5. Kristina. Remember we have Marwa and Leah who both red-shirted last year to mix in this year too. My daughter and I are looking forward to a fun season!

I haven't been to practice yet but my initial thoughts on the depth chart would be:
    1 - Shulte / Leah McKenzie / Taryn Hamling
    2 - Heaven / Abby Graham
    3 - Evans / Grace Massaquoi / Abby Krzewinski
    4 - Draper / Avery Koenen
    5 - KEY / Marwa Bedziri / Miriley Simon

Jory has shown he prefers to have Heaven off the ball but there will likely be some instances where she's running the point with Abby Graham at the 2. I think Grace will be able to help keep Evans fresh this year, Elle had to play over 32 minutes a game last year and that was when she'd get to rest more in big wins, in close games it felt like she was out there 36-38 minutes. Leah McKenzie was a very highly touted recruit coming in, it'll be interesting to see if she's all the way back and how much she'll contribute off the knee injury. I think Draper and KEY will start at the 4/5 but don't be surprised if either one gets over taken or if Jory rides the hot hand game to game, from what I've gathered Avery Koenen is the best recruit in this class and she could make a big impact early.
