    But Seifert talks of TE being subject to change with waiver wire possibilities.

    His (Seifert) final roster only shows 5 WR’s - I have a little trouble with that, especially keeping 4 TE’s - in this offense with a new head coach, but maybe they can sneak the WR or two on to the Practice that they like.

    Davidson's uneven preseason and training camp showed the 2021 fifth-round pick will likely head to the practice squad again. Ellefson, the Hawley, Minn. native, is the superior blocking option."

    #Vikings TE Ben Ellefson, as expected, has been designated for return from injured reserve and will practice today. He has missed the required minimum four games on IR due to groin injury and is eligible to be activated for Sunday's game at Buffalo.

    Ben Ellefson news…

    @christomasson·5h

    #Vikings TE Ben Ellefson, activated off injured reserve today after missing seven games due to a groin injury, is still working his way back into game shape. So he might not be active Sunday against the Jets. So Nick Muse is likely to be active again as the third tight end.

    I believe it's 3-year vesting AND the player must be on the active roster for at least 3 games in each of those seasons.
