Talked to the NCAA yesterday and she told me the 3rd. When I mention that a Fargo reporter said it was the 10 she said she would get back to me today after she talked to the "football" people.
She called back today and said no announcement had been made and to watch the website for any information. I then asked her about the date she had given me the previous day. She said I shouldnt count on the information I had been given. At that point I kind of made the half hearted comment---well it looks like the 10th then. At which she replied---I cant say anything and you will have to wait on the announcement for confirmation of that date. Ahah fell in to my trap!

When I started reading PL's post I nearly lost my lunch thinking it may still be the 3rd and I had cancelled my flights......now to figure out flights to get to the 10th which has been a huge challenge.

Okay, found pretty good award flight availability on Delta into Oklahoma City; not too bad a drive to Frisco from there. I had terrible luck finding anything on American, United, or Delta into Dallas. (Note I am specifically referring to 25K rewards). If you want to book now with miles, check out OKC. Note if you don't have elite status, most airlines charge you $150-200 to cancel each ticket and redeposit the miles. However, if you have high tier status, this is usually waved, so book now. (My situation with Delta.)

I also was able to get my normal Hilton Garden Inn on Hilton points. Crazy part is it is pricing at $209 a night, yet only charging 20K HH points. This is another stellar redemption. Getting over 1 CPP for Hilton Honors Points is pretty much impossible these days, so I am quite pleased.

I think I'll hold off on car for now. Sadly, I doubt I'll get my normal good deals I get in Dallas, but oh well.....
