I might take a chance with Spirit. They fly KC to DFW and I'm kind of a no frills person anyway.

My luggage cost more to fly than I did.... and I had just one bag. Other than that it wasn't bad at all.

Does Spirit still give out paper tickets? I know they were one of the last ones that still did. When I was a travel agent I hated working with them because of that.

your purse...or small computer bag. depends on the airline, most of them say it has to go under the seat in front of you.

I don't think you get carry ons. These are extra. Of course, the fare is about $35 each way.
