Tuszka was offered by the Bison last summer and, shortly after that, he verbally committed to the three-time defending FCS national champs. He is projected to play defensive end. Tuszka’s brother, Jarrod, is a current member of the Bison.

“I love the coaching staff,” Derrek Tuszka said about committing to the Bison. “They have got such a great program. It is like a family setting. I think it is just the right fit for me.”

This past fall, Tuszka was the Defensive MVP in the tough Lake Region Conference. He had 89 tackles, five sacks and forced two fumbles this fall. With one season to go at Warner, he has 233 career tackles and nine sacks. On offense, he rushed for 726 yards (10.7 per carry) and scored eight TDs. He also had 367 yards receiving and six more TDs.

Verbal commitments are not binding until prospects sign their national letters of intent. The national college football signing day is Feb. 4, 2015.

Please help me out here. I don't see his brother Jarrod's name on the football roster

Nor do see his name listed among last year recruits.

Some other sport? I only checked baseball and basketball but did not see him listed there either.

Saw a tweet tonight from Aberdeen sportswriter Ryan Deal reporting said that Derrek had a pretty good game tonight: 298 yards rushing, 4 TDs, and 16 tackles. Guessing he's going to sleep in tomorrow.

    Oct 17 game

Derrek Tuszka rushed for 322 yards and four touchdowns, caught a pass for a score and had 15 tackles to power Warner past Langford Area 46-30 in a Lake Region Conference football game Friday night in Warner during the American News Game of the Week. Watch a replay of the game with commentary at www.aberdeennews.com/sports/livesports.
Wow, what a game! And the Aberdeen American News has a video of Warner's game with Langford
and the elusive Mr. Tuszka. Tuszka is so versatile, he even handles the kickoffs.......3 hours worth of video,
I'll leave that to the really serious recruiting folks........#44

A two-time defensive player of the year in the Lake Region Conference, Tuszka had 109 tackles this season, 15 for loss, three sacks and three forced fumbles.

He also rushed 138 times for 1,460 yards, caught 14 passes for 247 yards and scored 23 touchdowns as Warner reached the Class 9A quarterfinals.
