Derrek is the earliest verbal I can recall for NDSU.
Took second in his region in the 100 meters and the shot put.

Warner’s Derrek Tuszka will play football for North Dakota State.
Tuszka was offered by the Bison last summer and, shortly after that, he verbally committed to the three-time defending FCS national champs. He is projected to play defensive end. Tuszka’s brother, Jarrod, is a current member of the Bison.
“I love the coaching staff,” Derrek Tuszka said about committing to the Bison. “They have got such a great program. It is like a family setting. I think it is just the right fit for me.”
This past fall, Tuszka was the Defensive MVP in the tough Lake Region Conference. He had 89 tackles, five sacks and forced two fumbles this fall. With one season to go at Warner, he has 233 career tackles and nine sacks. On offense, he rushed for 726 yards (10.7 per carry) and scored eight TDs. He also had 367 yards receiving and six more TDs.
Verbal commitments are not binding until prospects sign their national letters of intent. The national college football signing day is Feb. 4, 2015.
