In checking 3 sites for Denver practice squad predictions,
Tuszka was a yes for all 3.
They will get announced this afternoon
Sports Illustrated had this quote:
(Bison fan in me thinking this kinda sounds like a Coach who doesn’t want him to be claimed on waivers...)Derrek Tuszka | OLB
It came down to numbers as to why Tuszka isn’t on the roster. Also, there's the fact that Vic Fangio basically said this week that Tuszka isn't ready for NFL action yet and needs to get stronger and better at "everything".
Practice squad players make $8,400 per week or $134,400 for 16 games. Veteran players with over two years of experience will make $12,000 per week or $192,000 for 16 games.

Von Miller has an ankle injury, possibly season ending. Derek might get a roster spot due to depth concerns.
Derrek Tuskza one of 4 protected players on the Broncos Practice Squad......
From a Von Miller injury article:
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.den...-reaction/amp/......What does it mean next week?
Even if the Broncos wanted to bring in a veteran pass-rusher like Clay Matthews, Terrell Suggs or Cameron Wake this week, it would be tough to have them complete the COVID-19 protocols to be available Monday. But don’t count out a veteran being signed in time to face Pittsburgh in Week 2.......
Maybe Derrek gets to dress for a game or 2..can't
hurt.
Bison gonna Bison, FCS or FBS(tm)
There are not many in the market who think he will / or the Broncos want him to this year. They want him to have a redshirt year. That said, injuries in the NFL make a big difference and he could be suiting up. It looks like they brought a guy in who played for the HC in Chicago...
He is on the active roster for tonights game!!
