Let them think that Ewww is number 1. After all they have that one great player- that's all ya need, right?
SDSU has Zenner, that's all they needed to beat us ( oh, wait, that's not what happened).
We did lose a lot. It's up to us to prove that that we have a stainable football program. I know we do and it might be to our advantage to be the underdog.

A "stainable" program, huh? This doesn't sound like it will end well.

That sounds like Izzy's game program on the page showing the cheerleaders.....Kinda like bigdaddykanye's posts....not good!
North Dakota State, a football team the big boys of college football should avoid like the plague, helped christen a $90 million renovation to Snyder Family Stadium — including a statue of famed Kansas State coach Bill Snyder himself — by taking a sledgehammer to the place.

Personally, I don't give a rat's ass where we are ranked in preseason. All I care about is that we win our last game of the season in January.

And I don't know if he's talking about the fans or the coaches, but I think a lot of people (including myself) are confident that Carson will do a little better than a "credible" job...

If the 2014 Bison don't already have a massive chip on their shoulders developed from the Bohl exodus and all the articles written about the end of a huge 3 year run by NDSU, I would be shocked. On defense, if we can come up with 2-3 DT's that can carry the mail, the defense will be stellar again in 2014. On Offense we will miss Billy, Brock, Ryan, Sam, and Gimme . . . in that order. Hard to replace Billy & Brock, but it will be done.

IMO, we will not be favored in the national polls, or in the MVFC behind UNI. These are both good motivators for 2014. Should we be favored int he National and MVFC polls, YES.

As for replacing Bohl . . . in all honesty, it was his time to go, and I'm kinda glad we are starting new. While none of the player had their names on the back of the jerseys, and quite frankly was a very modest group, it was starting to become all about Bohl at NDSU. While I like the guy and hope he is successful in Wyo, his ego was certainly growing in 2013.

I agree. A Rose Bowl victory would suffice.

Everone in the national media who votes will just see 26 seniors gone and assume that NDSU will not be good. Even the guy from Sports Network keeps saying that on Jack Michaels Show right now. Will we be as good as last year where we were blowing teams out including the playoffs? No, last year's team probably will be considered the best NDSU football team ever. But the cupboard is not bare by any means. Correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't NDSU return 12 starters on offense and defense? Including 7 out of our 8 top tacklers from last year? Combine that with the number of games and practices these guys have had the past 3 years and you have I think a pretty solid team. Are there positions that need to prove themselves? Absolutely. QB and O-line are the biggest question marks going into the season. Part of me thinks that until someone beats the 3 time defending champ with a 24 game winning streak, they should be in the top spot going into week 1. But part of me could understand putting E Wash at the top. Just one more chip on the shoulder. Im just glad the FCS in not determined by polls like the FBS.
