This is really weird. Their 1st round starter can't go for an illness. You're first round LG can't move over to that position because he fell in the shower, and for some odd reason they didn't want to move their 1st round RT to the blind spot. They put their 3rd round pick who's mainly only started at guard out there and he struggles. What in the hell did they expect?

BTW, thanks lakes for the red chicklet.

Lets be realistic. Billy hasnt been tearing it up the last three years. Hes had opportunities to take over the starting position but really hasnt been able to lock it down. Granted cutting him after moving him to Lt Tackle is a BS move but it also shows the thin line Billy was walking.

He's a third round pick. Realistic expectations drafting in that round is a solid back up. Which, IMO, he is. He can spot start at either guard and look decent. Spot starting at LT. Again, what did they expect? They've literally cut all their back up lineman, minus the backup centers. They even sent the practice squad guy walking. It seems they want to shake things up and axing one of their 4 1st round picks isn't an option, so.

As long as Billy gets on elsewhere, this could be a positive thing. The Eagles are/should be a serious option with Lane's suspension they are moving their LG to RT. At least bring Billy in to compete. They obviously have the roster spot and cap room.

His hometown team has had lots of linemen injuries too.

Hasn't he had a different Oline coach/scheme each year he's been there, was injured most of his rookie year at least, and been shuffled around quite a bit? With all of that, and them putting him in the position he was in on Sunday and than cutting him for it, I think this could be the best thing to happen to him.

Looking through twitter I see a lot of Dolphin fans happy about it because of what happened Sunday with him at LT, but I also see a lot upset because they consider him the only O lineman on the roster who can run block. I also see multiple people pointing to both the Eagles and Vikes just like we are here so it will be interesting to see where he does land.
Some say it's a backward place. Narrow minds on a narrow way, but I make it a point to say. That that's where I come from.

I have been trying to think of trade scenarios that would have him end up in purple. Like Turner and a pick for Jarius Wright. Now they can just sign him. Get 'er done.

Sucks it didnt work out, sometimes a change in scenery can make a big difference. Hoping somebody will give Billy another shot!

He will get another shot. Young, athletic, and upside. Enough upside to be a 3rd round pick.
