I'd like to think NDSU will make the best of the situation. If that means second level....yeah, alums better be ready to open the checkbooks.

If we have to compete with the MVC and MAC we instantly go from have's to have nots. Not to mention increased competition without the new 2nd level. I welcome the chance to get better, bigger, perhaps add some more scholarships and continue giving the finger to the power 5.

If we want to move up to the second level. We are going to have to come up with some $$$$$.

I don't think the cost increase will be that bad. The former lower level FBS schools won't have nearly as much TV money coming in, expenses will drop in time to match. It's going to be a mess for the first few years though. How do you handle $1M+ coaching salaries when your income suddenly gets cut in half(or more)?

I have distanced myself away from pro sports the last 5+ years because I got tired of the money mongering. College sports (FB and BB) are trying their damndest to catch up. I'm still skeptical of this and will wait it out before I'm convinced it will happen. As a huge college football fan this makes me very sad if this does indeed happen. The last few years have already been bad enough.

If this happens the FCS will become completely irrelevant. We need to get to the second level, it is where we belong anyway. If you don't believe me take a look around the FCS, we are nothing like most of the programs there.
