Knowing the circumstances, I would say no.

Personally, I'd be very disappointed if we were to bring in a kid like this. The Bison have always been about the team, not the individual. Herd mentality. We have receivers, with less natural talent, who have busted their ass for this team. What kind of message would it send to the players? Sorry Zach Vraa. We appreciate you having 2 or 3 major shoulder surgeries but we've got this new transfer who can really help us. He played FBS

The only reason I am for exploring the idea is because he's a talent we could never possibly get. Sometimes getting kicked off a team is an eye opening experience and changes people. Sometimes not. I don't think it hurts the team as long as we hold him to really high standards and if he does F up, hey good message to the other players when he's kicked off the team
I dont think this is a good plan to bring a kid in.

To be fair, it would be more like "Hey Zach Vraa, you won't be double covered once this entire season. Bless you child."
Now this is the law of the prairie
As old and as true as the sky
And the Bison that keep it will prosper
And the Bison that break it will die
As the creeper that girdles the tree trunk
This law is the final word:
For the strength of the Herd is the Bison
And the strength of the Bison is the Herd.
