Agreed. But here's something really depressing: If we multiplied DR's pay by a factor of 10, he still wouldn't even break into the top third of that list.

Yeah, a lot of schools have really raised the bar when you look at the upper Mid-Majors and beyond. UNI is rumored to be paying Jacobson $1 million per year over 10 years with his new extension. That is crazy money for a school like UNI.

I think if we could get him to a level on par with Klieman's base we would be in a solid place for now.

So they are going from 600k to 1 million? I've heard it will be about 750k and will add 25-50k each year.

A few UNI fans seem to think that, I thought that was a bit crazy though.

UNI football is going to have to play 3 or 4 road FBS money games.

How the heck can SFA afford to pay their coach $347,000? This is depressing, another couple good years out of Richman at his low pay, he's as good as gone. Homegrown NDSU guy or not, I wouldn't blame him one bit. Also for what Bohl/Klieman has done as far as putting NDSU on the national map, they were underpaid as well. Last year when Saul left wasn't it for around $600,000 and didn't Gene say he couldn't even offer a counter to that? That's concerning that NDSU couldn't even afford to offer a hometown deal in hopes Saul would stay. Hopefully when these facility improvements get done that might free up some salary cash.
