First peek at Ohio's new-look hoops roster

It was the first organized team practice activity for the new additions to the Ohio roster. Freshmen wings Mike Laster (Detroit, Mich.) and Ryan Taylor (Gary, Ind.), freshman guard Kendall Crute (Marietta, Ga.) and sophomore transfer PG Jaaron Simmons (Dayton, Ohio) were all present and part of practice.

Laster, Taylor and Crute are all new signees and cleared for summer enrollment. Simmons, a transfer from Houston, was officially announced just this week. Simmons will sit out 2014-15 per NCAA transfer guidelines and will have three years availability beginning in 2015-16.

Hello everyone. I've seen your football team is having another very good year. Wish I could say the same about ours. Glad we don't play you this year. Good luck the rest of the year.

As for basketball, we've got a lot of new players on the roster so we're not completely sure what to expect. The link is for a video of our first practice. Just thought some of you might want to see it. Would like to play the Bison sometime in basketball but I know coaches don't like to play their former schools. I'm looking forward to following your team this year. I became a fan during the NCAA Tournament this year.

I do agree a game with Ohio would be sweet, but I agree that it isn't so much fun for the coaches. I really hope we can see a Saul vs Tim Miles match up in Hawaii though.
