Plus there are some crappy places to play bowl games. Memphis and Nashville etc in Dec-Jan. Who wouldnt love that trip?

Not addressing anything else but....
I can think of a few fanbases that are going to have a hissy fit with this one...including one particular poster on AGS.Together, they've got a monumental decision to make. After Thursday's basketball upset of Oklahoma, it can be argued that North Dakota State has the best athletic department not competing at the Football Bowl Subdivision level.

Dennis Dodd gave our football team love this last year; makes sense he keeps it going now.
I know this article will bring out the more cautious among us, who have many good reasons for wanting to stay FCS...but...I gotta say, FBS and true D-1 status would be great for North Dakota...the state--not just NDSU. The oil money is finally coming in (my dad predicted it back in the late 70s after the last bust) and there is a confluence of opportunity. You grab it or you miss it.
