Awesome match. My wife and our three boys were cheering for monk at the top of our lungs today. Two of our little guys wrestle and it was an awesome experience to watch this match on ESPN. None of us have ever been to an NDSU wrestling match or watched one on tv until Monk's semi final last night. Congrats Monk, you made us proud. I am already looking forward to next years tourney!

Very proud of the program and very happy to be a Bison. Keep up the great work Kish and company, and great way to finish a stellar career Monk!

    Go Bison!!!

I was on NCAA.com and happened to go to the wrestling rankings link. They have Monk listed as 5th. What gives?

Those RPI rankings from about a month ago weren't very accurate. Taylor was the only top ranked guy that went on to win a championship. Stieber and Ruth were ranked 4th and 3rd, and they each went on to win their third straight.

Great that Monk could get 3rd. Just another sign that hopefully ndsu is on the road to becoming a top program.
