    Default IUPUI Fires Howard

IUPUI announced Sunday after its first round loss to IPFW in the SL Tourney that they were firing Todd Howard. His record over three seasons was 29-70. I think this position would be a tough sell for an AD.

Jason Gardner will be the next head coach for IUPUI. Gardner grew up in Indianapolis. He is a former Arizona point guard (1999-2003). He also played professional ball overseas. He is a former Loyola-Chicago assistant and was most recently an assistant coach at Memphis.

33 years old, very young coach. Only a few years as an assistant...interesting hire.

I saw him pay in high school. Amazing player. I wish him the best at IUPUI. Being a local kid should help him with recruiting.
