OK, I'm heading to Ogden! See you all on Saturday. First in-person game since 1987 or 88 at USD. Gonna be great!

For those of you staying in Salt Lake City, I'll throw my two cents in. I won't be in town, unfortunately, I had other plans made even before the game was announced All the below are located downtown. I've never been to Ogden, so I got nothing for ya there.

Upscale bar food and local microbrew pubs:
Squatters - Micro tap beer only
Red Rock - Micro tap and bottled beer
Gracies - Beer and liquor
Cajun food and stellar beer selection:
The Bayou - Largest beer selection in SLC, hands down
Legit NY style pizza
Estes - across from Bar X
Cocktail Bar
Bar X - Beer Bar (They are two different, but connected) Beer Bar is very similar to the wurst beer hall in Fargo

ANY beer poured outta a tap is 3.2% beer
Microbrews in SLC can bottle > 3.2%
ANY beer bought in a grocery, target, walmart, gas station is 3.2%
Wine and Liquor and some full strength beer can only be bought at a State Liquor Store. When I say some, I mean very limited. I have yet to find a place in Utah where I can buy a case of full strength, big brand name beer.

Most of the above are a walkable distance from downtown hotels. Don't rely on the light rail to get around all the time. It shuts down about 11pm Fri and Sat nights (I mean, who would ever need public transit after then??? doh!) Road, don't venture to the west, Pioneer Park is the notorious area in downtown for violence and drugs.
