Northern Iowa tickets November 8, 2014

I know its a ways out, but I and a few others are starting to plan a trip to UNI for the Bison game this fall. I have been there before, but someone else got the tickets for me.

Just wondering how easy it is to get tickets for that place. I called them and they say single game tickets go on sale end of July, or beginning of August. No set date yet. For those of you who have gone in the past did you get through the NDSU allotment, or did you order from UNI directly.

And if you sit among UNI fans vs the visitor section are they tolerable or are they jackwagons?

We get them from their tic office. The first year we went the Uni fan next to us was shocked that there was actual people sitting in that section. She said no one comes to games- even playoffs. That has changed. Get them early on the phone. Tailgating is not good but we make it fun. The older fans try very hard to be good hosts
A couple of years ago one lady in our group got old linty candy taken away. The guy in front of us smuggled a bag of wine in. In his pants. If you are on this board I would like to meet you.

I guess I remember the tailgating to be not so bad. Of course...I was with bison fans. Just because UNI doesnt tailgate...oh well. More room for us.

Haha, short distance? Taking that thing from Moorhead to the Dome isn't even a "short distance" in that thing haha.

UNI doesn't tailgate? That's lame, that's why I like going to away games.

Oh yeah...Just one big open field

I remember we tried to start early at some local establishment...but they were puzzled why we were banging on their door to open up at 8 am.

Last time we drove down and drove home to Nd. No staying there. I hate that town.
although we did get to stop at the St Cloud White Castle at 3 am for a Crave Case. Open 24/7.

I remember paying some college kid in a golf cart $20 to get a ride from the lot to the stadium so I didn't have to walk. Damn spoiled being right across the street from the Fargodome.
