Agree you set up the game because the hbcu s have a large fan base that will travel for showcase stuff. It's money plus exposure. Or did they think Butler deserved Target field??

They didn't deserve it. They just happened to be a team in a location filled with NDSU alumni so NDSU could bring the program to them.

Exactly it doesn't matter who. "deserves" it. It's about money. Hbcu s are broke but have good alumni bases. They will come for a special neutral site game

What does playing in Vegas do for NDSU? I mean it would be a blast but does it truly grow the brand in a meaningful way amon people that will support it long term? Maybe, I don't know.
