We could call it the Forest. "We don't have trees so we will buy yours"

dont see Iowa scheduling NDSU again, unless there are several mediocre seasons. As long as NDSU is a top program no way, same with MN, Iowa St, KU, KSU, OSU

hell the B1G and B12, see how we do in the PAC the next couple games we may have to look at ACC or SEC after that LOl

FBS scheduling is going to be very tough moving forward but still very doable. I would think there will always be a good pool of mediocre to average FBS team that don't sell out that would appreciate the extra 5-10k in ticket sales along with other economic impacts that Bison nation would bring to the table.

The only reason some people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.

The problem is those teams don't bring enough to the table (money, TV exposure) to lose a home game. It's big 5 teams or bust at this point for NDSU and it's looking like more bust.

It would be interesting to see if scheduling those teams got easier if NDSU was FBS but I don't think it would. The big boys seem skeered and you can't blame them with NDSU's track record.

Very Purple, guess NDSU will have to go to Mayville State to play them on their new turf in the future...good for Mayville

The risk vs. reward of scheduling NDSU makes it extremely difficult to schedule a game with any FBS team, P5 or G5. First off, if the FBS team wins, they were suppose to win given the 18 additional scholarships... if they lose, they join the growing list of FBS victims. In addition, FBS teams need to get 6 wins to be considered for a bowl, NDSU is not a team they can schedule as a high probability win. Finally, it seems you schedule "lesser" competition to build depth, and give more reps to the backups -- that's not likely to happen if you play the Bison.

Our success against FBS schools is our own worst enemy.

More feasible in Ames or Cedar Falls than Iowa City as the hospital is taking as much as it can near the stadium.
