I'd assume he meant they were on the short list for the 9/14 Gameday at this time last week. I seem to recall a couple years back Kolpack finding out that someone from ESPN had reserved a block of hotel rooms in Fargo for the following weekend but then Gameday went elsewhere and it was reported during that next week that Fargo had been on a "short list" of potential sites but probably only an option if certain FBS teams had lost the previous weekend.

The crowd at the Game Day show at Texas last weekend was lacking. Not much enthusiasm or numbers. Did not look good on TV.
