Georgia Southern's FBS transition is about to get a little more difficult. Wonder who they will hire? Monken was very good but I'd think they'll find a good fit. Like NDSU, GSU's cupboard isn't bare.

Just goes to show that even if you are an FBS school, ARMY of all places can still take your coach.

I think Monken's style of offense would work very well at Army. I would just hate trying to recruit there. I feel you won't find too many character issues among your recruits, but is he going to recruit a better football player at Army then he can at GSU?

Excellent question. However the bigger question is "Can he beat Navy?"

some think that due to the higher danger factor and probably more importantly lower cool factor army gets an inferior selection out of the pool of service academy oriented crowd.

I wonder what GSU was paying him, and what Army is going to. If the salaries were similar, I think I'd stick at GSU.
