Thought I had read somewhere last year the players had some say in the choice.

Don't believe they did last year (2 years ago they did as we were home that year) as we weren't the home team, Sam Houston picked their dark color so the opposing team has to be the light. Don't think they were allowed to wear the yellow/gold jerseys and obviously not the green ones. So they were stuck with White essentially.

I majority of people watching ESPN2 are watching it in a place with no audio. bar, restaurant, casino, mall.

Right when you are the home team you pick....then its up to the captains.

I believe I read they did ask if they could wear yellow and were denied. Not sure if NCAA or SHSU had problem with it

I agree, bring out the green jerseys, the true home color. Although undefeated in the yellow. But I think the team gets to pick.

Really in the end does not matter. I just hope the fans don't come rolling in like the SHSU fans did the first year boasting about being undefeated. We can boast that if we actually accomplish that feat at the end of the game. Which I'm 99.99% sure we will be able to do.
