    Default Frisco Feedbag

Now that many among us have been to the Dallas/Frisco area the last couple of years, what have been some restaurant highlights for everyone? I've hit a couple of new places the last 2 years, but run out of time to get to some I've wanted to try.

Anyone have any intel on the following:

We ate at Randy's Steakhouse in Frisco two years ago. A little spendy, but cool atmosphere and great food.

I'll throw one out there for those driving to Frisco. The Smokey Pokey inside the Cowboy Travel Plaza on I-35 and HWY 51 (The exit going into Stillwater) has been solid every time I've eaten there. They have reasonable ($7-9) lunch specials and you get a good amount of food. They also have a pickle bar that's included with 4-5 different types of pickles. The waitstaff contributes nicely to the scenery.
This is 50-60 miles north of Oklahoma City so you can get your grub on, gas up and not have to stop in OKC.
You'll see billboards along I-35 advertising this place. Best if you get there at non peak times because there are a lot of oilfield workers who eat there.

North Dakota State, a football team the big boys of college football should avoid like the plague, helped christen a $90 million renovation to Snyder Family Stadium — including a statue of famed Kansas State coach Bill Snyder himself — by taking a sledgehammer to the place.

We loved the half shell. If you like oysters, it's great. A block or so north of the first year pep rally.

    Definitely need one in Fargo.

III Forks for steak. Next to Marriott in Plano.

    Expensive, but good.

Go to the old Stockyards in Fort Worth. Some great eating places and a bit of history. http://stockyardsstation1.tru-m.com
