I'm sure this has been gone over many times in various threads but in my mind I don't think it's right to place a conference champion (unless Big Fluffy of course) in the play in games. If you're going to take multiple at large teams, those spots should go to the last four selected, period. Flame away but I think it's that simple.

The last four are placed in the play in. Plus, four 16 seeds.

Where are the first round games held this year? oops I mean the 2nd round games held. Anything close to Fargo for a possible easy drive for Bison Fans.

The last 4 selected do play in round 1, as do the 4 lowest ranked conference champions. The last time they expanded the field they kicked what were the last two at-large teams out of the round of 64.

Playing in the play-in round wouldn't be the worst thing for this team. Would give them an opportunity to play an extra game in front on a national audience and if they win we could brag about how the NDSU men's team has won a game in consecutive tournaments which is something the vast majority of D1 basketball schools out there can't say.

Omaha is one. I have tix to there. I think they changed the confusing "first round" back to play in and the original first round is the first round again.
