The program has been fortunate to have Coach Bohl. He was successful in awakening a sleeping giant. It wasn't a dead-lift, as many programs are...rather, it was a grooming project.
Bohl and his assistants benefitted greatly in recruiting, and in all aspects, by simply being from North Dakota State. Hard work? You bet. Advantages? Big-time.
For about 50 years we've seen a lot of good coaches struggling to have similar results at other universities. This applies to opponents, and to coaches who have moved on to greener pastures.
I admire Bohl's work...and wish him well. Thanks for the hard work coach.
Bring on the new staff. The sooner the better. Go Bison! The march will most certainly continue. The giant will respond favorably to any set of coaches who put in the work, to those who respect it, and to those who have a solid base in football knowledge. These types of coaches are attracted to NDSU. Thanks go out to Daryl and Ron for creating the giant...for the dead-lift.
