i think the bigger shock, to me anyways, is the lateral move of going to Wyoming over staying at NDSU. Real gut shot knowing how great NDSU has been, that how small they really are in the big picture.

every offseason since the run began, we slept on nails hoping he would stick around...then after a few nattys we all kinda got comfortable that unless a once in a lifetime job opened up, he'd go to it. which none of us could blame him. but Wyoming? The fuck? and yes, losing him during the playoffs is a shitty deal too. its just a big steamy pile of fuck.

There’s a one-year window banning Bohl from trying to bring potential NDSU recruits to his new team, though Bresciani sought a two-year ban. Part of Bohl’s new contract requires him to pay the school $100,000 if he takes another NCAA head coaching job............................................... .......

It bars Bohl from contacting current or potential Bison recruits for a year, unless Bohl’s new team contacted the player before Bohl left NDSU or the recruit initiated a possible move to Bohl’s new squad.

“These recruits are going to be good recruits, and people know about them,” she said. “NDSU doesn’t own that information.”

You know, SD, if he had made up his mind that this is the job he wanted, I am not sure how else you do it. I even wonder if the playoff runs are part of the reason he stayed so long as he kept missing out on jobs!
