Default Some Championship Run Defensive Trends

I believe that this defense has improved each year of this run with many numbers bearing this out. Total tackles: 2011-1131 (75.4 per game), 2012-1002 (66.8 per game), 2013-486 (60.8 per game) and obviously fewer tackles is a possible indicator that the defense is getting off the field more quickly each year. Thus, 3rd down conversions allowed: 2011-37%, 2012-29%, 2013-24%. These numbers are possible indicators of increasingly effective play on 1st and 2nd downs thus: percentages in all plays during which a tackle was made (no scoring, penalties or turnovers) that went for negative yardage (sack or tackle for loss), 2011-11%, 2012-13%, 2013-16%. Average per rush allowed: 2010-4.6, 2011-3.5, 2012-3.0, 2013-2.6. Not too shabby. PPG are up slightly but I would attribute this to playing the former Big 12 champs and a really good (at the time) UNI offense. Keep it up Defense

I am so sick of the Bison already. Win this, win that, blah, blah, blah. I'd really, really like to know how they do it. I swear they have to be the luckiest sob's on the planet. Just sick of this bs, just fed up.

This stat is crazy especially considering UNI's back had that one big run. Take the one outlier out of that data and how low does this stat get??

Another stat that I think is ridiculous is that the opposing teams have only been in the red zone 11 times this year against NDSU.
