It's not that you come to a conclusion about it. Through that argument you change your mind sometimes... That's how societies grow. They both have winning attitudes. Thinking about how last year Stick said his goal was to give Carson one more chance to play. And Jensen...I mean...the "never going to let that feeling happen to me again" attitude got us a few championships.

And how big was Jose Mohler getting us the victory over KU? The rest is history...

I remember the first time seeing Jensen and my first thought was we were seeing a college QB. Good arm, confident throws, and willing the team to win ball games. We have been spoiled with a few good QBs in a row now.

Our offense scored 6 points and I think a field goal was due to a blocked punt.

Interesting stats. Honestly I never really paid much attention to Sticks stats since all I care about is his record.

I'll say this. Brock probably had a slightly better defense but Easton has faced tougher competition. His last 7 games were against 3 ranked playoff teams in pressure situations, 3 top 20 ranked home games, and Iowa. He won road games vs a ranked Youngstown and Indiana State team.

Very interesting stats, Jensen was the "winningest" QB in the fcs and Easton is on track with him. I am surprised at the difference in completion % between the 2 but not the total yards rushing. Enjoyed watching Brock and will enjoy watching Easton thru the next few years.

    Thanks for the info.

Comparison of Jensen's and Stick's stats is pretty interesting. I think it's pretty clear however that Stick has more arm talent and is a better athlete running the ball. I'd expect him to develop into a better pro prospect, but where his career numbers shake out depend on many more variables than what Stick can control. Really feels like Stick also has the Walker, Jensen, Wentz it factor in crunch time. He has already lead some pretty impressive comebacks against Youngstown, Eastern Washington, and Iowa.

Really the only thing that I think makes fans pause on Stick is his tendency to be a little reckless with his passes late in his progression. Given more time to develop I think he'll improve on that and hopefully retain the gunslinger mentality.

I think its unfair to compare Easton to our past QBs. I mean come on, Wentz is just his own thing. However, Easton I think does a fantastic job and has definitely come in to fill some pretty big shoes. Which is has MORE than done. Kid can throw, run, pretty smart on the fly. His stats aren't mind blowing, but neither were Carson's. What matters to him is winning, not raking up passing yards etc. Think he only has room to go up in my book.

The one thing I think the coaches absolutely nailed with Stick was bringing him with to every game his redshirt season and having him cling to Wentz like glue. Sure, Stick was already physically gifted, but I really think it helped him mentally prepare and catch on to the system much quicker. Hope they continue to do that with future QB's if the roster allows them to. I'm thinking the verbal from FL in this years class might be one of those guys. I agree it's unfair to compare Easton to any past QB, but he definitely seems to have "it". Boggles my mind that he's only a redshirt sophomore. I think he has NFL potential already and will go down as one of the greatest in NDSU history.

I am so sick of the Bison already. Win this, win that, blah, blah, blah. I'd really, really like to know how they do it. I swear they have to be the luckiest sob's on the planet. Just sick of this bs, just fed up.
