Odds that they carry 3 qb’s again? I can’t see Costello beating Easton out for that spot if it continues to exist.

I would think they’ll carry two and have one on the practice squad. There are enough decent backups out there that it’s not super expensive to pick up someone better than a 3rd stringer on short notice.

Not many teams carry 3 QBs so hopefully he can stay on with the Chargers. As the most important position on the field they sure do not keep many on the rosters. His performance yesterday is worthy of a roster spot!

I was glad the female announcer showed up. She actually got the others to talk about the game and Easton. There were times when Easton was playing they were showing the new stadium and it’s construction. “Oh, what an awesome stadium …” I wanted them to shut up and get back to the game!

If you watch preseason football for the football, you'll generally be disappointed.

I think the Chargers take a big risk with trying to stash Easton on the practice squad. A lot of teams would be happy to grab a back-up quality player like Easton for a cheap price tag. Unless Easton’s play drops off, I’m not sure he will clear waivers.

I didn't see the whole game but I thought Easton out played Chase Daniel. It'll be interesting to hear what the new coaching staff thinks of the two.

I think we may have different ideas of what a "big risk" is.

They have a young guy who they anticipate being the guy at QB for the next fifteen years. I'm sure he'll be fine either way.

Finally, a benefit to watching football in So Cal. The game was on 2 channels so I watched KCBS, which was far superior.

It all depends on what your expectations are. Ive learned along time ago to expect a glorified practice. My expectations for the commentary crew seem to get lower
    by the year.
