    Because he is using his education and training to track recruits and provide a much needed service to Bison fans he is weird?

    There are some real tools that like to share an opinion on this site. Sams....keep it up. The sight is rock solid. Nice addition to the guys who like to follow recruiting like myself. #recruitinggeek

    I agree that Sams has a very good website. I appreciate his effort as it is good for the program in my opinion.

    But his "leave this to professional recruiters"/slamming Forum Communications is VERY FUNNY. And he deserved to be called out on it.

    If people are paying him $300 an hour to evaluate high school talent, then I owe him an apology.

    As much crap as we give Forum Communications it is still a professional media business. People PAY KOLPACK $$$ for his work.

    I'll take the bait and ask for reasoning behind this statement

    From an outsider's opinion, he is not trying to lobby a kid into coming to NDSU - he is simply providing information. I don't see anything that would be an NCAA violation.

    If you are implying a violation...would it even matter if he gave money to NDSU? Even just by obviously being a fan wouldn't that be in violation? I don't understand all of those rules.

    I can't imagine operating a recruiting site is a violation. I'm sure the guy(s) who started Rivals probably are fans of specific team(s) as well.
