If you watch preseason football for the football, you'll generally be disappointed.

I watch it to evaluate rookies/new players a little and that’s it. You really learn nothing about starting units even if they play or a teams likelihood of success. I’ve seen teams dominate and go undefeated regular season and look meh regular season and some teams look like garbage in preseason and dominate regular season

It's their 2nd preseason game. Also, there are only 3 preseason games this year, so the 2nd is essentially like the 3rd normally would be.
I'm sure they want to see what he can do with a full half of football with starters. They either need to trade him, keep him, or put him on practice squad, so this game will probably make that decision for them. They aren't keeping Daniels and Stick I wouldn't think. They already know what Daniels can do, he's been in the league a long time.
