Lynn says that he didn't sign Newton because he likes Stick. If he does well this year he could be a backup to Herbert.

I predict, Tyrod Taylor will be traded after 1 or 2 years

He's only under contract for this next year. This is likely his last year with the Chargers and he'll sign elsewhere as an unrestricted free agent next offseason... or if the Chargers try to keep him as Herbert's backup then Stick is done there.

Also a small chance that Taylor ends up traded during the year if there is need from other teams because of a string of injuries.

That's not a bad spot to be, but I wouldn't be terribly surprised if Stick performs better than Herbert.

My thoughts too. The assumption Herbert will be better than Stick by the time the NFL season begins is flawed. I have my doubts Herbert is better now, let alone later, but then F BS.

Hubert has an absolute rocket of an arm but is not even remotely the decision maker or leader that Stick is. If TT leaves, I think it'll be a fair battle between the two. I could also see both on the field at the same time, which would be pretty awesome.

I wish KE were still a Charger because I would convert. I was always a Fouts fan but never liked Rivers.
    Insert something clever here...

Rivers was fun to watch in person. He played the heel pretty good.
