A great QB when healthy, but a history (collegiate and NFL) of injuries. From last year, it sounds like he is learning to manage risk on the field - when considering a run, but also in unloading the football - and perhaps is learning how to get tackled. Rules changes the last few years help him.

IMO Easton will have to reassess his running game for the NFL if he wants to stay healthy (minimize chance of injury). I have been amazed at how durable Stick is - I have seen a few nasty tackles of him - but NFL defensive players are faster and bigger than what he has seen.

All that - best wishes to both of them. I hope they both have good NFL careers and retire w/o any major injuries or concussions.
Easton has gone through several ankle rolling, knee twisting tackles and proven much less injury prone than Carson. He just doesn't seem to take the same hard hits and or his flexibility had saved him a couple times. Think he'll do ok running but running less

Article in the LA Times this morning had a Chargers coach saying they were going to keep Easton playing in their scheme, rather than expanding the QB role to run more.

Chargers are pretty deep at QB with Tyrod Taylor and Cardale Jones as backups

Stick is better than Cardale Jones. Jones is basically black Hackenburg.

Taylor has had his opportunity. He's a decent back up but certainly not the future after Rivers. Jones has had 3 years and hasn't done anything.

They'll have to be pretty unimpressed with Stick to unload him after spending a pick on him. IMO, they keep Taylor as a solid back up and Stick as the developmental QB. Jones gets cut.

Jones is probably pretty pissed off. He knows that he is on his way out the door.
Tyrod rumored be gone by the end of next year.
Easton's destiny is in his own hands.

Easton number is going be #2 not #12.... Does somebody already have #12 for the Chargers?
