Nance does deadpan really well, actually. He was on the phone with Peyton on the Tom Brady episode of Peyton's Places. He was funny.

Yes I know he has can be funny. He is usually pretty flat affect for the Masters broadcast though, I think in keeping with the image they wish to project. I probably won't watch the two broadcasts simultaneously anyway.

Its about preference. It also shows you how huge of an event the Masters is. Its the one golf tournament even non-fans know about and pay attention to every year.
