I believe this is more of an NCAA issue vs a NDSU issue. Just because NDSU is enforcing a NCAA rule it doesnt mean NDSU admins are at fault here.

If that is true, NCAA should sanction dance as a sport. We could the use volleyball schollies there and eliminate WVB!!

What would be the NCAA rule?

There was no mention of the NCAA in the article. Just sounds like a pissing match between this Haugeberg lady and the dance team coach. Sounds like a pretty drastic move just because ego's are involved.

I think the dance team is an integral part of the Bison football show. It looks pretty impressive to fans when we can put on a full show which includes the band, cheerleaders, and dance team. I think all of these combined give us the impression of a legitimate "Big Time" program. In the past, we have had several visiting fans say as much. This whole package really separates us from other FCS schools.

    They should be reinstated ASAP.

letting none school funded organizations be on the sidelines for games in a capacity that makes it appear they are a school funded organization. If that were allowed then Tennessee could hire the Titans cheerleaders and use them as their own. Dont think that would fly

But I dont know the whole story so I am only guessing at this point.

Doesnt the dance team get their money from the same bucket of student fees that the athletic department gets over $1 million a year?

We all live in stories... It seems to me that a definition of any living vibrant society is that you constantly question those stories... The argument itself is freedom. It's not that you come to a conclusion about it. Through that argument you change your mind sometimes... That's how societies grow. Could they perform in the west lot before games? I know izzy would appreciate it.
I don't care how the vote ended up. They still suck and always will.

It's really pathetic that they couldn't work something out. When egos get in the way of something that is clearly good for the school and program - that's fucked up. The student senate is leaving the program worse off than when they took over. They should go into politics for their careers as they will fit in quite well.
