    We have it so good.

I made the mistake of attending the Wagner vs Merrimack game last Friday on Staten Island. I have never seen worse execution in a college game. Neither team could maintain a block, but it didn't really matter since neither could tackle either. I've seen better crowds and atmospheres at 3A high school games when I lived in Arkansas...and Arkansas goes up to 7A. Not to mention that those high school teams would have had a fighting chance at beating wither Wagner or Merrimack.

    We have it so good.

Discipline and hard work and produce excellence, especially on the football field. I would expect that those ethics will keep NDSU at the forefront of FCS football for some time because the coaching staff will demand it.

The leadership on the last few teams has been tremendous. Hope that continues. Never want to see seasons like '08 or '09 again!

Few teams have the discipline to pull off our game plan. Its tempting to play fast break style football especially for big schools looking to attract the big time skill players.

My dad and I were just talking about this very thing while we were in Canada over the weekend. We went to a CFL game in Winnipeg on Sunday and found ourselves comparing the BlueBombers to the Bison on numerous occasions. Sloppy play, poor execution, misssed tackles, dropped balls, turnovers, penalties, etc. We were sitting with our Canadian friends and told them often that "the Bison would never do that". I'm sure after a while they grew tired hearing about the Bison. I think we're spoiled as well to have such a fine football program in our own backyard. Back to back national champs and a chance at a 3peat, whodathunkit?!! I see this run of success going on for awhile. We'll have an advantage in recruiting, and the coaching staff (with or without Bohl) will maintain the fundamentals and tradition we see in the program.

So, you went to grand forks? How was the red pepper?

Edit: sorry, re-read and noticed you mentioned Winnipeg. Next time you may not need to travel the extra two hours to see Canadian football. Just sayin.

Yes, this Bison team is very special. Hope we can keep it going. Bohl is committed to NDSU and maybe he's not terribly greedy. He is enjoying tremendous success, and he knows how that can vanish in a season. He makes a comfortable living at $250,000 plus perks. If he goes to a university team offering $1,000,000, but only lasts three years, what has he gained? (Oh, yeah, $3 mil in 3 years, not 12. But how about his rep?)
