Jewel Hampton (Iowa/Southern Illinois) is from the same HS as Shakir Bell. Bell's backup at ISU was also a HS teammate. Former Colts backup RB Darren Evans (VTech) is also from this HS. That school is an athlete machine.

Their starting QB this year...Jeff George! His dad also went to this HS.

Last I saw, he was waived from the Packers

    EDIT: More info.

According to agent Kevin Jones, undrafted rookie quarterback Matt Brown suffered a knee sprain while training at home a week ago. The resulting arthroscopic surgery will keep Brown sidelined for about four weeks, thus ruining any chance to compete at training camp.

Was waiting on that, they placed him on the IR. They have to clear waivers before being put on the IR during preseason.

Cornick got a lot of playing time in the Broncos first preseason game (part of the 2nd quarter and all of the 2nd half). I was watching in a bar and didn't pay attention too closely, but we'll see...

It sounds like Cornick will make the roster unless they have to bring in another vet. But with healthy center issues and changing positions for martinez I think he has a good chance at being a backup.
