    Default 2 Deep Roster

NCAA FOOTBALL 14 is coming out in less than 3 weeks! One of my favorite things to do when the new title comes out is to hop on the computer and do a Teambuilder for the upcoming season's Bison. I'd like to get the board's take on the 2 deep roster as to make it as accurately as possible for virtual battles against K-State, Minnesota, and Alabama. Here's mine:

    QB: Brock Jensen, Carson Wentz
    RB: Sam Ojuri, John Crockett
    FB: Andrew Grothmann, Andrew Bonnet
    X: Ryan Smith, Carey Woods
    LT: Billy Turner, Jack Plankers
    LG: Josh Colville, Zack Johnson
    C: Jesse Hinz, Zac Johnson
    RG: Tyler Gimmestad, Adam Schueller
    RT: Joe Haeg, Jason Pomerenke
    TE: Kevin Vaadeland, Luke Albers
    Z: Zach Vraa, Trevor Gebhart

    LE: Cole Jirik, Mike Hardie
    DT: Leevon Perry, Brian Schaetz
    DT: Ryan Drevlow, Danny Luecke
    RE: Kyle Emanuel, Jeremy Gordon
    WLB: Travis Beck, Pierre Gee-Tucker
    MLB: Grant Olson, MJ Stumpf
    SLB: Carlton Littlejohn, Esley Thornton
    CB: Marcus Williams, CJ Smith
    CB: Zach Colvin, Brendin Pierre
    FS: Christian Dudzik, Bryan Shepherd
SS: Colten Heagle, AJ Van Voorhis

    K: Adam Keller
    P: Ben LeCompte
    LS: Michael Murphy

    Thoughts?

And the Bison that keep it will prosper
And the Bison that break it will die

This law is the final word:
For the strength of the Herd is the Bison
And the strength of the Bison is the Herd.

Any idea when the new 2014 teambuilder goes online? The site still links to 2013.

    Nice work!

I just hope that Leevon's recovery is going well.

Adam Schueller may be the front runner for starting or backup center
Antonio Rogers is the backup middle linebacker. Stump is an outside backer. Littlejohn slides to the middle on passing downs, which in my opinion makes him the most valuable player on defense

Dont forget Champion at corner. Colvin will play a lot but not sure if hes a starter. Pierre is more experienced and smith looked good in camp

True, best bet for a true freshman to crack the two-deep at linebacker is probably middle. Er, well, if Travis Beck gets suspended for a couple games, which is likely, then somebody will have to step up to fill the hole.

I'm kind of expecting Esley to be starting against Kansas State.

I agree about Rodgers, it's just that you never hear any sound bites from the coaching staff or the media about him. I think that both myself and the coaching staff believe that the best 6 LBs are the 6 I have listed, but I didn't really know what to do. If Olson went down would they slide LJ inside and play Esley or Stumpf? I don't know. With that being said the battle for the corner starting opposite of Marcus is going to be a great one. Champion could easily win that job and I couldn't even list him on the 2 deep.

Schuller has never been asked to play guard. And center fits him better, its him and zac johnson and to my experience schuller has a better shot at being in there. Schuller is more than capable to get the job done.

Jesse hinz gets back from his knee problem he will be in the mix as well.

Pomeranke is not playing anymore, back and shoulder problems

    Better?

Also, FWIW the school's website lists Schueller as an OG, not an OL or C, and they do make that distinction elsewhere.

Has there been any talk of Colville or Zack Johnson playing center? I've heard it will be hard to keep Zack off the field. He is that good.
