This!!!!!!!! I quite using mine as it would go into sleep mode and I didn't want to be fumbling with it in the dark. It needs to not allow the phone to sleep when the strobe is on.

Looks good. I agree that the phone needs to be blocked from going dark while the strobe is on.

Having developed apps targeting mobile platforms, I can tell you that not all operating systems /APIs give the developer the ability to override OS level settings such as the sleep timer. Others allow you as a developer to request that level of control from the user when they install your app. Bottom line its not necessarily as simple as it sounds. Each OS/platform is different. Having said that, it is possible, it's just not a case of hey why didn't I think of that...

Piggy backing off Tatanka's post. I also develop apps and other interactive media, I don't think people realize how much work goes into making something like this. Especially when you don't have an army of people working on it.

I can't wait to see this in action, I predict it will be very popular and as with most things will evolve with user experience and feedback.

Or, maybe a live game stat feature, updated each half? With starting lineups?
Could it play Thunderstruck, say 30 minutes before game time?
Hey Barkeep, another round of the green stuff for me and my buddies!
