Veldman has been released from the Jags as of yesterday.

I'm a Lions fan and am jacked that Matt is recently signed. Hopefully he can get on the field. Tough competition from Scheffler and Pettigrew though. If he can catch the ball consistently, he'll play, as Pettigrew is prone to the drops and the coaches were frustrated with him all year in 2012.
