I hope he gives it a shot; it would be terrible to wonder, for the rest of your life, if you could have made it to the Bigs. Neil Wagner should be some inspiration for Mr. Straka. Go for it !!!
Congrats to Mr Straka!
He's being assigned to the Class A Spokane Chiefs

“I really thought you had to run the football to control the game,” Erhardt once said. “You had to throw the football to score but had to run the football to win.” - Ron Erhardt
Straka has gotten into 2 games so far - June 14th against Everett for the last 2 innings of their 1st game of the season -
2H - 1R - 1 ER - 0 BB - 1 SO
June 18th against Vancouver for 2.1 innings - 1 H - 0 Runs - 0 BB - 3 SO
Gives him an ERA of 2.08
With Straka having had a starter's workload for the Bison, I'm not surprised to see his innings per outing limited by Texas.
That is typical for pitchers in their 1st pro outings after their long college season.
Spokane is struggling at 1-6 so far.
